| Budapest, 19 February, 2018 (OTS) - The Korona, the new cryptocurrency was introduced over the week-end in Budapest at an international press conference. The new means of payment will be the cheapest to use for global purchases. |
The blockchain-based cryptocurrency, the Korona was introduced by
the Korona Development Team, led by Jean-Marc Stiegemeier, a
one-time Wall Street financial adviser. The new means of payment
will be launched on the 26th March in Switzerland. Part of the
business model of the Korona is a purpose-built bank and payment
platform that will be operating under the supervision of Swiss
financial authorities. According to the developers of the Korona,
ninety percent of the current cryptocurrencies are pseudo
currencies, not suitable for any actual transactions and this is why
its exchange rate can change with several thousands of dollars in a
matter of a couple of days. According to plans the system will also
work as a global webshop, where sellers can upload their products
and services. According to the business model introduced at the
press conference, through the Korona the buyers will be able to find
the most favourable offer world-wide. For example, a currently
high-end mobile phone is so much more expensive in Europe to
America, that for buying it on a better price it is still worth
flying over the ocean, take two nights of accommodation and come
back. The costs of the buyer will also be decreased by the fact that
barely any transaction costs will be charged compared to traditional
practice, while in the case of Bitcoin there is a 20-dollar
transaction fee charged each time. That is why the Korona will open
new perspectives on the fields of global shopping habits and
financial transactions. The crediting will be done instantly on the
account of the seller. This is why the Korona can open new
